Umbrella Care
Extending your umbrellas’ lifespan.
EG Umbrellas are made to last decades, not just seasons. And with proper umbrella maintenance, you can maximize that lifespan and keep your umbrellas looking as good as day one.

Fabric Care
A little bit of attention goes a long way.
Our canopies are designed to stand up to the elements so that with a little regular umbrella cleaning, you’ll have great looking shade solutions for years to come.
Remove Dirt
Give your umbrella canopies a gentle brushing, sweeping, or vacuuming session as needed to remove dust and dirt.
Rinse with Water
Regularly rinse your canopies with a medium-pressure stream from a hose (never a pressure washer). If needed, use a soft sponge, a solution of warm water (maximum 86º F), and gentle soap to wash away dirt. Air dry.
Store As Needed
For extended storage, use the waterproof and UV-resistant cover. And, in extreme weather such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and severe winter weather, consider temporarily moving your umbrellas indoors.

Structural care
Keep your umbrella structure in great condition.
The pulleys and winches on EG Umbrellas are sealed and designed to operate without additional lubrication. That means the structural care you’ll need to do is minimal.
Inspect Regularly
Take a look at your umbrellas on a regular basis to check for loose or broken components (which can be replaced).
Wash Regularly
Every month or as needed, rinse the metal components of your umbrellas and wash with a soft sponge, warm water, and a non-corrosive/caustic soap. Dry with a towel or air dry.
